      to  16  hours.  O n  the other hand,  in  the  northern  part of Europe,   8 ......................
      thousands  o f residents  h ave  been  left vvithout som e  hom es and   9 ......................
      have  had  to  stay  in  other p eople’s  hom es.  M an y íarm ers  have  lost a    1 0 ..................
